This morning we headed off on Route 66 from Chicago to LA...well ok, just to Vegas. We are staying the night in St Louis, having visited such exciting places and things like Dixies Trucker Diner and the Gemini Giant Astronaut. I tell ya Route 66 has it all. We had a mad night out in Chicago. After wandering around not sure where to go out, we stopped by the typical Irish pub and got a huge list of things to do from the waitress. Needless to say one of them was a blues club just next door. Sensational How handy is that!!! We heard some awesome Blues, even ended up buying the CD. Oh..and they just keep giving us better rental cars. We have moved up a notch to the Chevy Impala ahh the small things...hehehehe

You really should head all the way to LA, just to say you did it, and to see all that LA County's 66 has to offer. Did you know that there are 34 National Register of Historic Places landmarks just along the 66 corridor in LA County alone? Did you know that the only vehicular tunnels along 66 are in LA city? Did you know that the oldest in-use bridge on 66 is in LA city? How about that LA's first museum is along 66? And the first portion of 66 to become freeway is in LA County, too. If 66 in the midwest and southwest impresses you, you will be mesmerized by the Mother Road in LA County!
